Newcastle Jets players have been told to take a PCR test for COVID-19 after their recent match in Kogarah with Sydney FC.
In a public statement, The Newcastle Jets confirmed the player from Sydney FC men’s football department, who was fully vaccinated, tested positive to a regular rapid antigen test and PCR test yesterday, December 6.
The Newcastle Jets players and coaching staff are in the process of undergoing PCR testing and self-isolation and are adhering to the directions of the APL.
No one from the Club has so far presented any symptoms.
