A dangerous surf warning has been issued across the North Coast, with fierce conditions lapping the coastline.
The warning, which includes areas on the Byron Coast, will remain in place until midnight, tomorrow.
Authorities are recommending people stay out of the water and for rock fishers to seek a safe location, away from the surf.
A swell of up to five metres is expected tomorrow, with boaties urged to avoid making any trips.
