Man allegedly breaches bail and gatecrashes private event at Byron Bay

A man has faced Lismore Local Court today, after allegedly gate crashing a private event at a Byron bay store overnight, while on bail.

Police say the intoxicated 38-year-old made threats of violence and threw a drink… with guests fearing for their safety at the Lawson street shop.

Officers used capsicum spray during the arrest, taking him to Byron Bay police station.

He was slapped with a string of charges – including breach of bail, resisting an officer, malicious damage and trespass.

He was refused bail and will reappear at Byron Bay local Court tomorrow.
