North West downpour leaving residents cut off

Parts of the north west copped around 60 millimeters of rain overnight – the downpour, proving too much for sodden ground and swollen rivers.

At Tamworth, the Peel rose, cutting off part of the city… resulting in flood rescues, and traffic chaos.
