An elderly woman has been airlifted to the Gold Coast Hospital after a high speed crash on the M-1 at Chinderah.
The 74-year-old driver was trapped in her vehicle suffering serious leg injuries, but was taken for care in a stable condition.
Another woman and two children in a second vehicle escaped serious injury, but were taken to Tweed Heads Hospital.
