Tweed Council wraps up river cleanup after seven months

Tweed Shire Council has wrapped up its clean up of the Tweed River – with more than 890 square metres of debris removed.

The clean up, which began in April used underwater divers and barge-mounted excavators to clear the river.

Among the items found were cars, fallen trees and even a boat pontoon.
