Taree’s Bicentennial Gardens are looking much brighter, following a $150,000 makeover by local Rotary clubs.
Sandstone seating, footpaths and 16 solar streetlights have been installed with the aim of attracting more people to the neighbourhood.
“Was a bit neglected and going nowhere, a dead end, now it’s connected with the Figtrees development reaching over Browns Creek,” Rotarian David Denning said.
Rotarians will now apply for funding to install picnic tables and barbecues.
