STEAMFEST’S GREAT RACE COMES TO A SURPRISE END

It had been billed as the Great Race, and today’s contest between three trains and Tiger Moth planes certainly lived up to the hype.

The event was the pinnacle of this year’s Steamfest, and had an ending no one expected.

    Hi Madeline (correct spelling?)

Hope you don’t mind, and for future reference, when train people refer to locomotives, they quote the engine’s number in full, eg, 3265 becomes thirty-two, sixty-five, not three, two, sixty five, or three thousand, two hundred and sixty five.

    Hope the above helps.
