Rain wreaked havoc with the Central Coast Cricket Prelim Final on the weekend. The Magpies managed to bat for four-overs before the heaven’s opened at Sohier Park, with the match abandoned, and Narara eliminated in devastating circumstances. Lisarow now meets Kincumber in the Grand Final.

The Central Coast’s Ben Writer will compete at the Asia Crossfit Championships in July. The 31 year-old is one of only 60 men worldwide invited to the event.

2020 STATE WOMEN’S COUNTRY RUGBY CHAMPIONSHIPS
To Rugby now and Newcastle Hunter has taken out the 2020 State Women’s Country Champions on the Central Coast. The defending champions defeated Central North, 12 nil.

The Central Coast Crusaders’ campaign to defend their championship has been put on hold, as fears over the coronavirus pandemic deepens. Basketball NSW made the decision to suspend all its fixtures until further notice. (VISION ONLY)

MARINERS LOSE NINE IN A ROW
In A League, the Mariners suffered their ninth straight loss in a row last night, during a 1-nil defeat by Brisbane. Coronavirus fears meant fewer football fans played witness to the match, a 52,000 capacity stadium, all but empty.
