    Avoca young gun Caleb Tancred has advanced to round three of the Chiba Open. The 17-year-old natural footer posted a two-wave total of 10.27 in rainy conditions. Tancred came second in the heat overall, finishing around five points behind Portuguese surfer Frederico Morais. (VISION ONLY)
