Gosford cricketer, Lauren Smith starts her campaign for a fourth Women’s Big Bash title this weekend. Her Sydney Thunder open the season against the Adelaide Strikers at Tasmania’s Blundstone Arena on Saturday. Smith helped the Thunder secure 2020’s premiership, claiming a wicket against the Sixers. MARINERS SIGN SECOND GOALKEEPER
The Central Coast Mariners have signed a second goalkeeper for the upcoming A-league season, in the shape of Yaren Sozer. The 24-year-old has previously been a part of the Melbourne City academy, spending the last three years playing in Europe. Sozer will join Mark Birighitti as one of two goalies for the squad.
