Returning to the NRL and the Titans were left to rue a series of costly handling errors in their 5-point loss to St George. Minus suspended enforcer Greg Bird, they couldn’t mount a late fight-back to secure a result.  

Olympic Swimming Champ, Melanie Wright is hanging up the goggles and pursuing her other childhood dream of becoming a doctor, after retiring from competitive swimming earlier this week. Wright was hoping to make it to Rio, but fell short at the Australian titles.

Staff were shattered this morning when fire gutted one of Broadbeach’s oldest kebab shops. Fire-fighters managing to save neighbouring businesses from going up in smoke.
