Australia’s Under 20’s side has won its first game of the Oceania Rugby Junior Championship at Bond University this afternoon. The boys in green and gold dominating Samoa, to take the game 33 points to 10.

C-bus Stadium was buzzing yesterday morning, but the crowds weren’t there for the footy. 3000 people were off and running, at the annual Gold Coast Bulletin Fun Run – and it was all for a good cause.  

In a massive boost for budding ironmen and women, organisers of the national series have expanded the field for next summer’s competition. Six additional spots will be available – a sign the sport is making progress.

John Wayne Parr is preparing to make a return to the ring, following a sickening knockout. Parr spent four days in hospital following the June bout, which almost ended his illustrious career.    

BMX golden girl, Caroline Buchanan, has taken out the first round of the BMX World Cup in Manchester overnight. From a difficult starting gate, the 24 year old was in the lead by the first turn.
