TRIATHLON TO RETURN TO JETTY
Coffs Harbour’s triathletes are set to return to competition when they stage their first event since COVID-19 restrictions were imposed. Around 100 people will compete at the Jetty venue later this month.

The Harbour Knights are through to the New England Rugby Union preliminary final, after a dominant performance against Saint Alberts College at Coffs Harbour yesterday. The Knights piled on early points and gave the the Albies little chance of a comeback.

WAUCHOPE CLAIM VICTORY OVER THE HOGS
In Lower Mid North Coast rugby, the Manning River Rats have wrapped up the minor premiership with a whopping 47 to nil thrashing of Old Bar. Wallamba defeated Gloucester 74 to 12 and in the match of the round, Wauchope defeated the Hogs 22 to 5.

LIONS FIRM AT TOP OF LADDER
To local football now, and Coffs United has firmed its place at the top of the the ladder in the Northern Coastal Premier League, with a solid win over the Bombers yesterday. The Storm and Sawtell also had convincing wins.

HARBOUR KNIGHTS LAST TRAINING RUN BEFORE TOMORROW’S SUDDEN DEATH SEMI
The Harbour Knights rugby union side hit the paddock this afternoon for the captain’s training run, ahead of tomorrow’s minor semi final. A win will see the Knights progress to the knock-out preliminary final next week.

Time is ticking for Coffs Harbour to remain the preferred location for the proposed regional athletics centre – however, finding a site locally is proving difficult. The community is encouraged to have its say – a site selection report to be placed on public exhibition.
