The Port City Breakers have had a big win against Old Bar in the final round of the Group Three season this weekend. The team says the pressure’s now on for the semi finals, which could see anyone take out the premiership.

In Group 2 rugby league, the Macksville Sea Eagles season is over after going down to Sawtell 17 to 10 in yesterday’s elimination final. It was a close-fought encounter with the Panthers progressing to the next round.

85 body board riders took to the water for the Jeff Wilcox Memorial Classic. Port Macquarie’s Clayton Pickworth took out the first round of the men’s masters but with such fierce competition, it’s still too early to call a winner.

It was perfect conditions at the 35th running of the Loggerheads Malibu Classic at Scotts Head today. The event drew close to 200 entrants, all competing for the famous ‘beer stein trophy’.
