It’s taken 10 years but a coordinated campaign to get a PCYC in Grafton has paid off with the turning of the first sod. The $6-million centre will be built on the Grafton Sports Centre site.

In group 2 rugby league Woolgoolga had a big win over the struggling Magpies while Orara staged an upset win over Macksville. The Comets were too good for the Rebels and Grafton had a 30-point win over Sawtell’s Panthers.

South Grafton’s women’s league tag team has strengthened its position in second place on the ladder with a win over the Comets this afternoon. It was a close fought match with the Rebels capitalising on the Comets mistakes.
