In the first round of Group 2 Rugby League reigning premiers Coffs Harbour handed out a flogging to Macksville in a replay of last years grand final. The Ghosts were back to their best making easy work of Orara South Grafton won out over Woolgoolga, while Sawtell managed to hold off Bellingen.

13-year-old Nick Alford has taken out the prestigious Coffs Harbour Ocean Swim at Jetty Beach today. Coffs’ Meegan Hoare took out the women’s event finishing just a second ahead of another Coffs local, Tahlia Kollen.
