Gold Coast swimmer Riley Clout has taken out the Coffs Harbour Ocean Swim which was conducted in near perfect conditions this morning. The first woman home was Coffs Harbour 15-year-old, Lilly Geddes.

Two banks were running on day one of the Barney Miller classic to ensure all junior surfers got their fins wet. Winners moved straight to the finals on Sunday – the losers had another shot in the repecharge round.

CLEAN UP BEGINS AT NAMBUCCA ISLAND GOLF COURSE
Golfers will have a lengthy wait to play 18 holes at the Nambucca Island Golf Course, after floodwaters swept through. Majority of the course was underwater for days and many fairways have sustained extensive damage.

This year’s Pittwater to Coffs Harbour Yacht Race has been cancelled due to safety concerns. The boats were due to leave Sydney on Friday – but organisers say recent flooding has presented too many hazards below the water’s surface.

It might be wet and windy, but the North Coast Bulldogs womens and 16s teams are determined to come away with a win in this weekend’s semi finals. The women remain undefeated in the Country Championships division, while the 16s boys scraped through in the Andrew Johns Cup.
