Coffs Harbour may have lost its hosting duties for a Big Bash fixture, but there’s no lack of cricket action in our city. The Adelaide Strikers have had their first training run since flying to Coffs to prevent jeopardising their season.

COFFS UNITED 17S TO PLAY AGAINST QUEENSLAND ACADEMY
The Coffs City United under 17s are back on the pitch, training for a game against the Australian Football Academy on the Gold Coast, after a successful NPL season. The side will jump on a bus tomorrow morning, ahead of tomorrow night’s clash.

GROUP 2 COMPETITION WILL BE AT FULL CAPACITY FOR 2021
All nine clubs have been approved to play in the Group 2 competition for 2021, with the re-inclusion of the Nambucca Roosters and Orara Valley Axemen. The return of the two clubs bringing the competition back to full capacity.

MAJOR RACE MEETING TO RETURN TO TAREE
The Manning Valley Race Club will host a heat of the Country Championships next year. The winner and runner-up from the qualifier will go on to compete in the finals at Royal Randwick.

COFFS HARBOUR TO HOST A-LEAGUE PRE-SEASON FRIENDLY
The A-League is returning to Coffs for the first time since 2017, with the Newcastle Jets and Brisbane Roar to play a pre-season friendly. The December 12 clash will be one of the last before season proper begins.

LAUREN KITCHEN BACK ON HOME SOIL
With this year’s UCI Women’s World Tour wrapped up, Port Macquarie cyclist Lauren Kitchen, is back in Australia. After completing two weeks hotel quarantine, Kitchen is finally on her way home to undergo intensive training ahead of the National Road Championships.
