Oxley Vale Attunga has featured in every grand final over the last decade….except one. Last year, the Mushies made an early semi-finals exit – an aspect the club is keen to overturn this year.

The Central North Rugby draw hasn’t favoured the Tamworth Pirates – at least not in the opening rounds. But the premiers aren’t too concerned – preparing to face another fierce rival this Saturday.  

The Tamworth Kangaroos started their pre-season training later than usual – a move they’re hoping will keep a spring in their step during 2019. But the North West AFL club is a little light on numbers – their depth will be put to the test in game one.

Two Tamworth Swimming Club stars have swum their way to victory at the Australian Championships in Adelaide. Connor Roberts and Alex Hayes defeated some tough competition during their heats, to post personal bests.

The maroons are heading home triumphant, after winning the State of Origin Paragliding competition at Mount Borah, on the weekend.
