The Greater Northern Tigers have suffered their first loss in the Andrew Johns Cup, with the under-16s going down 26-12 to the North Coast Bulldogs. Meanwhile, the result wasn’t much better in the Laurie Daley Cup, with the under-18 Tigers losing 34 to 12.  

Just one game in the Northern Conference of the FFA Cup today, with Oxley Vale Attunga hosting the Bangalow Bluedogs in Tamworth. The home side was out-played in every aspect, with the Bluedogs sealing a comfortable win.

Not since 2015 has the Tamworth Jockey Club held a qualifying race of the Country Championships. That all changes on Sunday – a meeting that features the region’s best 14 horses, along with best trainers, including Tamworth’s Cody Morgan.
