It will be a top of the table clash this weekend- as the Inverell Saints fight to hold on the Kevin Pay shield for a third year. But the Swans will be proving a real threat this year – Tamworth yet to take the shield home, since the tradition began in 2020.

The Tamworth Gymnastics Club will host its annual the Country Capital Cup over the long weekend – expected to draw in 3,000 visitors. Local competitors are in fine form, after representing New South Wales at the Australian Championships.

PRIMARY SCHOOL STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS HELD IN TAMWORTH
Tamworth is playing host to hundreds of primary school students this week competing at both basketball and hockey state championships. It’s the first time in history, the city has hosted both events at the same time.
