Round three for Central North Rugby Union saw the Walcha Rams take on the Moree Bulls. The Bulls were out of their depth in the Walcha’s territory – the Rams coming through with the win.

Tamworth Football Club will play their first game of the season tomorrow at Johnson Field. Taking on the new-look Hillvue Rovers – the side is hoping to hit the ground running.

The NSW Combined High School Sports girls basketball championship has started in Tamworth today. The three-day carnival hopes to provide an avenue to take young athletes to new heights in the sport.

The Narrabri Blues have taken out the Gunnedah Bulldogs in round three of Group Four Rugby League. Some poor defence from the Bulldogs, sealing the home team’s win.

Team New South Wales have come back to win round two of this years Bullriding State of Origin in Tamworth. The series is now locked a one-a-piece heading into the final round in Brisbane next month.  

The Narrabri Blues and Gunnedah Bulldogs will go head-to-head in round two of group 4 rugby league this Sunday. Both sides will do anything to nab the win and both say their squads have the skills to do so.

Tamworth Magpies are gearing up for their first game back this season. They’re playing Albies in Armidale on Saturday and the women’s team are confident they can come home with the win.
