The Bulldogs have touched down in Tamworth – holding a week long training camp. It’s the second NRL club to hold a preseason camp in the North West this year – following the Knights visit to the region that was cut short thanks to covid last week.

The Tamworth Little Athletics Club is hosting the code’s two-day regional Championships. The event, held at the Tamworth Regional Athletics Centre, was slightly downscaled this year, but will still give young athletes a chance to compete against the state’s best in Sydney next month.

Drivers and spectators with the need for speed have descended on Tamworth for the Microsprints and Senior Formula 500 state titles. The Oakburn Speedway was the place to be this weekend, with plenty of engine-revving action.

Australia’s best paragliding pilots have touched down in Manilla… to launch from its renowned Mount Borah facilities. Part of an eight day flying festival, they’re all on a quest to beat personal bests.

QUIRINDI’S PACIFIC NATIONAL SUPER 8S TOURNAMENT
The Pacific National Super 8’s cricket tournament in Quirindi today saw tight competition between a selection of North West sides. Quirindi Cricket Association were excited for the event go ahead – hosting a series of matches at Longfield Park.
