The Country Colts Cricket carnival wrapped up today with Central Northern going down to Riverina. Winning the toss and batting first back fired for the boys from the North West – New England – bowled out for just 83. Tamworth’s Landan Price put up a fight with the ball taking four wickets… Riverina though chased down…

Fresh off the back of a victory against the Central Coast, the Central North Country Colts team was back in action today. But the side didn’t get back to its winning ways.

After more than a decade of preparations – Tamworth archers can now let loose on a range of their own. A property at Ogunbil has been kitted out, with the latest local club seeking new members.

Punters in Tamworth and Inverell have kicked off 2022 trackside at the local jockey clubs’ New Years Day races. There were colourful frocks, strong bets and some impressive wins on the home stretch.
