Tamworth is showcasing the best of regional cricket… wrapping up day one of the Northern New South Wales Country Championships. Newcastle are the favorites to take out the tournament so far… but the homeside are hoping to turn their luck around over the weekend.

Boasting the country’s best… the ABCRA campdraft finals have returned to Tamworth. Organisers are pleased by the growing number of women who have taken up the sport.

Tamworth AELEC is preparing to host the National Campdraft Finals next week. Australia’s best campdraft and rodeo competitors will arrive in the city for the four-day event.

It was finals day at South Tamworth Bowling Club for the wheelchair sports and disability Singles Classic. Casino’s Brad Gilbert winning the event and taking home gold.

A major lawn bowls competition has started in Tamworth, with competitors travelling from across New South Wales and interstate. Players of all abilities took to the green today, for the Disability Singles Classic.
