Girl suffers serious smoke inhalation after electric skateboard catches fire in her room
A 12-year-old girl has suffered serious smoke inhalation, during a Lithium-ion battery fire at Yamba. She was woken last night by the crackling sound of her electric skateboard on fire as it charged in her bedroom. The family of five managed to escape the blaze, and the girl was taken to hospital for further treatment.

Police are appealing for information as investigations ramp up following a $40 million cannabis bust near Casino.
