JAMILLA RANKIN NAMED IN AUSTRALIA’S SQUAD FOR FIFA UNDER-20 WOMEN’S WORLD CUP IN COSTA RICA
Lismore’s Jamilla Rankin has been named in Australia’s 21-player final squad for the FIFA Under-20 Women’s World Cup in Costa Rica. The 19-year-old defender plays for the Blacktown Spartans and previously represented the Eureka Football Club, as a junior. Australia fronts Costa Rica in the opening round of the World Cup, on August 10.

MARIST BROTHERS COME CLOSE TO BALLINA IN NRRRL ROUND 14
NRRRL leaders Murwillumbah and Bilambil both had wins in the latest round over the weekend. Evans Head defeated Lower Clarence and Byron Bay smashed Northern United. Meanwhile a late comeback from Marist Brothers wasn’t enough to defeat Ballina at home.
