    There have been some epic, point break waves this week, protected from the southerly winds. Things should only get better as the winds will ease. The swell will remain solid during Friday, before easing off over the weekend.

    LARGE DANGEROUS SWELL TO LAST ALL WEEK

    The two main features are the cyclone in the north and the intense East Coast Low in the Tasman. The low offshore is big and will be slow moving. This will generate a very large, dangerous swell and maintain the strong southerly winds along the coast. It will remaining fine inland.

    There’s going to be some nice waves tomorrow morning after the low on the northern NSW and SE QLD coasts. Conditions are going to be variable as the ECL low forms. There’s going to be some solid swell early next week as the low fully forms and then pulls away from the coast.

    We have a small swell to begin with but as the weekend rolls on the swell will increase but so to the onshore SE winds. Quality is going to be poor but by Sunday we should have enough swell to get into most southern point breaks along the east coast.
