It’s not a great looking weekend for wave riders, with small swell and unfavourable winds. Your best chance will be in the northern corners as there will be plenty of north in the winds.

The trough will remain in place in the east, helping with the shower and thunderstorm development through the day across the broadcast region. As the front approaches, northerly winds will develop and this will help clear the rain for Sunday morning.

The southerly change and associated front will trigger more showers and widespread thunderstorm development in northern NSW and south east QLD again tomorrow.
