Yesterday’s preliminary finals in Far North Coast Rugby Union left spectators on the edge of their seats, as Ballina and Wollongbar battled it out for a spot in the decider. It was a close game, but Wollongbar managed to wrangle the Seahorses, by four points.

WOLLONGBAR HEADED TO PRELIMINARY FINALS AGAINST BALLINA IN FNCRU
In Far North Coast Rugby Union, Wollongbar and Casuarina lined up yesterday to determine who would make it into the preliminary finals. It was a nailbiter, but Wollongbar managed to finish on top, winning 31-29. Wollongbar takes on Ballina next weekend for a spot in the decider. (AUDIO IN PARTS)

LENNOX HEAD DEFEATS BALLINA IN FNCRU SEMI FINALS
In Far North Coast Rugby Union, the Lennox Head Trojans are heading straight to the grand final, after thumping Ballina 42 – 15. The Seagulls will have another chance to secure a spot in the final next weekend.

NAILBITING FINAL ROUND IN FNCRU BETWEEN BALLINA AND WOLLONGBAR
For the Seventh and final round of Far North Coast Rugby Union, there was plenty of energy with all teams battling to end the season on a high. Lennox Head overthrew Bangalow, 35-18, while Casuarina smashed Casino. Grafton delivered a 40 point thrashing against Lismore… And, it was a nailbiter when Ballina took on Wollongbar.

More than 200 points were scored in just three games of North Coast Rugby Union with round 4 of the competition dominated by attacking rugby. Wollongbar maintains its position atop of the ladder… Lennox Head defeated Grafton by 41 and Casino was no match for Ballina – dominated from start to finish.

Yesterday saw some big scores in Far North Coast Rugby Union competition, Wollonbar Alstonville smashed Grafton in a 71 – 22 win. While Lennox Head and Bangalow also scored big. And the Ballina Seahorses were too good for Casuarina.

BALLINA SEAHORSES THRASH LISMORE CITY IN FIRST RUGBY UNION GAME BACK
After being postponed for several months, Far North Coast Rugby Union is back. Wollongbar Alstonville defeated Lennox Head in a nail biter. Casuarina Beach and Bangalow also claimed opening round wins. Meanwhile, The Ballina Seahorses showed their class against Lismore City, winning by 46 points.

CASINO OUTCLASS BALLINA IN HIGH SCORING CONTEST
Far North Coast Rugby Union ladder leaders, Wollongbar-Alstonville, outclassed Lennox Head 54-7 this weekend. Casuarina Beach beat Byron, while Southern Cross Uni edged out Lismore in a high scoring contest. In other games, Grafton beat Bangalow 36-14, and Casino got home against Ballina 45 points to 41.
