ONLOOKERS RUSH TO AID OF THREE PEOPLE THROWN OVERBOARD
Three people have escaped injury after they were thrown into the Ballina Bar this afternoon – during rough surf. A body-boarder, surfer and jet ski quickly came to their aid… before parademics assessed the trio. Marine Rescue retrieved the boat off the rocks.

It was a big day for the Ballina Lighthouse and Lismore Surf Lifesaving Club – today holding its club championships. A number of nippers, keen to represent their club at the State Championships in Sydney later this week.
