ELDERLY MAN DIES AT BALLINA’S FLAT ROCK THIS MORNING
A man, aged in his seventies, has died after being pulled unconscious from the water at a Far North Coast beach this morning. Emergency services were called to Ballina’s Flat Rock at around 8 o’clock. Members of the public commenced CPR before paramedics arrived on scene, but tragically, he couldn’t be saved. (NO AUDIO)

HOTEL FINED MORE THAN $14,000 OVER ALLEGED COVID, LICENSING BREACHES
East Ballina’s Shaws Bay Hotel has been fined more than $14,000 after allegedly breaching pandemic health orders and licensing laws. Officers say they visited the venue on the last two Sundays and saw groups of large people gathering, as well as heavily intoxicated customers continuing to be served alcohol. (NO AUDIO)

SHARK SIGHTING FORCES CLOSURE OF SEVERAL FAR NORTH COAST BEACHES
A shark sighting has forced the closure of several Far North Coast beaches today. Byron Bay’s Main Beach, as well as First Sun and Sharpes Beach were all shut after a Surf Life Saving drone spotted the marine predator. It’s believed to be a 1.5m bull shark. (NO AUDIO)

FLIGHTS BETWEEN BALLINA AND DUBBO TO CONTINUE TO JANUARY 2021
