NET OPPONENTS LEAVE MESSAGE ON NORTH WALL
Shark net opponents have sprayed a message onto rocks at North Wall. The graffiti appeared following the Premier’s announcement last week that the controversial shark deterrent will be trialled locally. LEANING TOWER OF BALLINA SET TO COME DOWN
Demolition has begun on Ballina Marine Rescue’s old lookout tower. The aging icon was closed last September, after two volunteers were injured.

NEW BALLINA MARINE RESCUE TOWER NOW OPERATIONAL
It’s been more than a decade in the making, but Ballina’s new Marine Rescue Tower became operational today. Construction of the purpose-built, $2.3 million building began in February.
