Police are appealing for witnesses, following an armed hold-up in Ballina this afternoon. Just after 4 o’clock, a man entered a tobacco store in the Wigmore Arcade and threatened two employees with a knife. He’s described as being Caucasian in appearance and aged in his 20s. Two people are dead following a collision with a truck near Ballina this afternoon. Emergency crews were called at around 3:30 after the B-Double and car crashed at Knockrow on the Pacific Highway.
