MARLINS BOOST AUSTRALIA’S WORLD CUP BID
Two Central Coast baseballers have helped Australia’s Under 18s side qualify for the upcoming World Cup. Marlins product Tristan Watts and coach Shaun Smith were part of the national team that won gold at the Oceania Championships in Guam over the weekend. The team will now face the world’s best in Korea in September.

HOME RUNS FIRST IN THE FAMILY: CRAIG ANDERSON RETIRES
Dual Olympic baseball player Craig Anderson, has announced he’s retiring from all forms of the game. Anderson will play his final home game with the Sydney Blue Sox tomorrow, and will also bid the Central Coast Marlins farewell at the end of this season.

MARLINS IN SPOTLIGHT WITH LIGHTING UPGRADES
The Central Coast will soon be home to one of the state’s best baseball fields. The sport’s followers have welcomed a cash injection of more than $230,000 to install floodlights at the Marlins’ homeground in Springfield.
