    Thieves have stooped to a new low near Casino stealing a bus shelter from Shannon Brook. Richmond Valley Council today posted this image on its Facebook page, saying the shelter was stolen at the intersection of Shannon Brook Road and Rutherford Road. The bizarre crime was reported to council yesterday. (VISION ONLY)

    Casino swimming pool will undergo a $3.2 million facelift, if the Coalition is successful at the federal election. The upgrade would include a plant and pump refurbishment, as well as an area for beginner swimmers. The pool’s been in use since the early 1950s. (AUDIO IN PARTS)
