The Casino Cobras were easy winners in round eight of Football Far North Coast’s premier league competition, defeating Lennox Head 4-1. Elsewhere Goonellabah and Bangalow defeated the Lismore Thistles and Alstonville respectively… While the Italo Stars and Lismore Workers drew 2-all – a scoreline the Richmond Rovers and Byron Bay mirrored.

STATE GOVERNMENT LAUNCHES BAT OFFENSIVE
The state government will spend $1-million dispersing large colonies of flying foxes throughout the north coast. The animals, which are endangered but spread the Hendra and Lyssa viruses, have long pestered residents throughout parts of Casino and Maclean. CASINO POLICE HUNTING BIKE-JACKER
Police in Casino are investigating an apparent bike-jacking, after this pushbike was stolen from its rider at knifepoint.
