Round two of Far North Coast Rugby Union has had fans on the edge of their seats, with close games all round. Lennox Head thrashed Ballina, despite tying 7-all at halftime. Bangalow maintained its dominance over Casino, while it was a tight game when Wollongbar-Alstonville took on Casuarina.

The countdown is on for the Far North Coast Rugby Union season, with teams in their final 4 weeks of preseason training. The Casuarina Beach Barbarians are training hard with coach Mick Hall, who’s back again for his third year, hoping to take the team through to win the trophy.

WOLLONGBAR HEADED TO PRELIMINARY FINALS AGAINST BALLINA IN FNCRU
In Far North Coast Rugby Union, Wollongbar and Casuarina lined up yesterday to determine who would make it into the preliminary finals. It was a nailbiter, but Wollongbar managed to finish on top, winning 31-29. Wollongbar takes on Ballina next weekend for a spot in the decider. (AUDIO IN PARTS)

CASINO EDGE OUT CASUARINA BEACH IN CLOSE CONTEST
To Far North Coast Rugby Union and ladder leaders, Wollongbar-Alstonville, have beaten Lismore in a high scoring contest 92 points to 5. Lennox Head outclassed Bangalow, Ballina edged out Southern Cross Uni. In other games, Byron Bay beat Grafton 46 to 6, and Casino got home against Casuarina Beach 29 points to 27.
