FORMER GOSFORD MAYOR TO STAND TRIAL
Former Gosford mayor Laurie Maher will stand trial on historic child sex charges. Laurence Joseph Maher was charged in April, over offences allegedly committed at the Mount Penang Training School in the 1970s and 80s. He returns to Penrith District Court next month.
