ROAD SIGNS RECOGNISE DARKINJUNG COUNTRY
New signs now let drivers know they’re travelling through Darkinjung Country. It’s the second location in the state Transport for New South Wales has selected under a pilot program which pays tribute to the area’s Aboriginal history. They can be spotted at Bushells Ridge, Catherine Hill Bay, Cheero Point, Doyalson, Empire Bay and Ourimbah.

PLANS UNDERWAY TO HELP DARKINJUNG DEVELOP LAND
Work is underway to remove some of the legal obstacles preventing indigenous communities from developing land. The state government has unveiled a draft framework to assist Darkinjung Local Aboriginal Land Council in growing its residential projects.
