THREE PEOPLE LUCKY TO BE ALIVE AFTER BOAT FLIPS CROSSING BAR
Two men and a child have escaped injury after their boat capsized while crossing the Evans Head bar this morning. A crew from Volunteer Marine Rescue responded to the incident at about 7 o’clock. Fortunately, the boat and all people on-board washed up safely on Main Beach. (NO VIDEO)

A 7-year-old girl is in hospital tonight after being hit by a car on the state’s Far North Coast. Emergency crews were called to Elm Street in Evans Head just after 4:30 this afternoon.
