It was a day that will go down in the Far North Coast Rugby Union history books. The Wollongbar-Alstonsville Pioneers’ six year reign came to an end yesterday, after being dethroned by the Lennox Head Trojans in the grand final.

Yesterday’s preliminary finals in Far North Coast Rugby Union left spectators on the edge of their seats, as Ballina and Wollongbar battled it out for a spot in the decider. It was a close game, but Wollongbar managed to wrangle the Seahorses, by four points.
