NORTHERN RIVERS RECONSTRUCTION CORPORATION COMES INTO EFFECT FROM TODAY
The Northern Rivers Reconstruction Corporation has today started up – to assist the region’s flood recovery. It will have sweeping powers across the region, including the ability to enforce buying and subdividing land. FLOOD AFFECTED STUDENTS SWAP CLASSROOMS FOR OUTDOOR EDUCATION AT SUMMERLAND FARM
Students from flood affected Wardell public school have swapped their temporary classrooms for the outdoors. More than 30 students based at Alstonville Public, were able to take part in an agriculture and plant science education program at Summerland Farm. The students will remain at the temporary site until their school is rebuilt.

FLOOD IMPACTED WOODBURN RESIDENTS ARE BEING OFFERED AT-HOME CARAVANS
Flood impacted Woodburn residents are being offered at-home caravans as a medium-term housing solution. The no-cost caravans, sourced through vehicle hire company Camplify will be placed on properties after being assessed. The program will be offered instead of housing pods, after community feedback.
