The cooler moist South-East winds will continue for most of the first week of 2017 triggering isolated showers for coastal communities.

    In north east NSW, the heat wave will continue. Cloud increasing as the trough moves over the Hunter and southern parts of the North-West tonight and tomorrow morning. Rain and storms will develop as cooler weather slowly creeps north. 2017 will get off to a cooler wet start during the first week.
