POLICE CONFIRM HOMEMADE DEVICE FOUND ON GOLD COAST
BREAKING: Police have confirmed that a device found at Arundel on the Gold Coast this afternoon was a homemade bomb. Officers say the device was constructed with a PVC pipe, with explosives found inside. Guns and ammunition were also discovered inside the truck. The device has now been declared safe.

A man has died after being pulled unconscious from heavy surf on the Gold Coast. It’s believed the man, aged in his 30s, was boogie boarding at Broadbeach this morning when he was dumped by a wave, causing serious head injuries.
