With all weekend sport up in the air due to coronavirus concerns, the Group 3 rugby league season has been pushed even further back. The committee says there’s been a lack of registrations, but is hoping players can run on the field at some point this year.

AN EVEN LATER START TO THE GROUP 3 2020 SEASON
Mid North Coast’s rugby League players have an extended their off-season, with games starting more than a month later than usual. The Group 3 starting date was already pushed back once, due to junior games, and has been prolonged once again.

GROUP 2 WOMEN TOO STRONG FOR GROUP 3
Group 2 has won bragging rights in women’s league, defeating Group 3 in Kempsey this morning 14 to 8. The inaugural representative game drew a strong, and vocal crowd.

HALL OF FAME FOR MANNING VALLEY RUGBY LEAGUE STAR
He’s coached, played, and supported local rugby league for years. Now, Taree’s own Gary Bridge is being recognised for his contributions. The talented sportsman is one of four candidates to be inducted into Group Three’s Hall of Fame in January.
