CROWDY BAY NATIONAL PARK FIRE DOWNGRADED TO ADVICE LEVEL
A bush fire in Crowdy Bay National Park has been downgraded to advice level. The fire flared up on Monday evening.. a Harrington holiday park evacuated in the early hours of yesterday morning. A long-awaited dredging project has started in the Manning River at Harrington. While it’s hoped to improve boating in the back channel, the dredged sand won’t go to waste either.

HARRINGTON BEACH TRACK CLOSED DUE TO EROSION
An informal beach track created by four-wheel drivers in Harrington has been closed, due to coastal erosion. MidCoast Council says the track poses a safety hazard for vehicles and the public. Signage at the entrance to the beach now instructs drivers to drive between the tide marks where the sand is firmer. (VISION ONLY)

FIRE SPREADING THROUGH HARRINGTON BACKYARD
A fire broke out in Harrington this afternoon spreading through bush in a resident’s backyard. The blaze ripped through a shed, starting a grass fire, severely damaging a nearby vehicle. Firefighters quickly responded getting the blaze under control by 2pm, with nobody injured. The cause of the fire is under investigation. (VISION ONLY)
