ARREST MADE OVER PROTEIN POWDER THEFT
A Kempsey man was arrested on Thursday afternoon for the alleged theft of $13,500 worth of protein milk powder. Four bags of the powder were allegedly taken from the Smithtown factory early Sunday morning. The 35 year old was charged and granted bail to appear in Kempsey local court on the 14th of November, 2016.

EXTRA EYES ON KEMPSEY SALEYARDS
Kempsey Regional Saleyards are now under the watchful eye of CCTV, in attempt to crack down on livestock theft. Three cameras have been installed at each end of the cattle ramps, to monitor truck movements. The security boost is the first in a series of improvements council has scheduled this year, costing more than $100,000.
