Lismore’s iconic Lantern Parade returned to the CBD with a bang last night for the first time in two years. 10,000 locals braved the cold to watch the annual procession and thank the local heroes who stepped up during the floods.

Lismore’s Lantern Parade will not being going ahead in June as it has for 25 years. But the event hasn’t been cancelled, only postponed – organisers hoping the lanterns will light up the sky on November 7. In the meantime the Lantern Workshop will be closed for social distancing purposes. (AUDIO IN PARTS)
